This document outlines the process for requesting the deletion of your personal data from Crossa.africa. At Crossa.africa, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
How to Request Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data directly from your user dashboard. Please follow these steps:
- Log In: Log in to your Crossa.africa account.
- Navigate to Your Dashboard: Once logged in, go to your "My Dashboard" page.
- Access Account Settings: Click on "Manage Account" or "Settings".
- Select "Delete Account": Choose the "Delete Account" option.
- Confirm Deletion: A confirmation prompt will appear. To proceed, you will be required to confirm your choice.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account?
Upon confirming the deletion of your account, the following actions will be taken immediately and irreversibly:
- Your Crossa.africa user account and profile will be permanently deleted.
- All personal information associated with your account, including your name, email address, phone numbers, and delivery addresses will be removed from our primary databases.
- Your history of registered packages will be anonymized and disassociated from your personal identity.
Please note that we may be required by law (e.g., for tax and customs purposes) to retain certain transactional data for a statutory period. This data will be held securely and will not be used for any other purpose.
